Shoppers Raving About Poundland Aftershave That Smells Like Paco Rabanne 1 Million

Father’s Day is not far away now (don’t panic, it’s 16 June, you have time), and no doubt most of us wish our dads smelt less like arse.

As such, buying them some aftershave seems to be the perfect solution – present sorted, smell of arse diminished.

The problem though is that aftershave is bloody expensive… except it isn’t, if you shop at Poundland.

The discount store is selling an aftershave called ‘King in Million’ for the unsurprising price of £1. What is surprising though is that it apparently actually smells like Paco Rabanne 1 Million – which it seems safe to say Poundland were attempting to emulate.

Customers have taken to Facebook to rave about the scent, which comes in gold and black packaging, much like the hugely popular 1 Million fragrance.

Posting in the Extreme Couponing and Bargains group (I’ve never heard of it either), one woman shared a couple of pictures of the aftershave along with a glowing review.

She said: “Picked up this beaut from Poundland! In the Father’s Day section, didn’t expect anything from it with it being so cheap but I kid you not it smells just like million!

“Going back tomorrow to buy a few… £1!! Just compared it to my partner’s real million he can’t tell the difference.

“It might not last as long as the real thing, but who cares, for that price you can reapply it every ten minutes!”

The woman makes a very good point, for even if you can tell the difference between the two, the real question is, do you like Paco Rabanne 1 Million 58 times more than King in Million?

Poundland’s 100ml fragrance will set you back £57 less than the same sized bottle of the real deal. Who cares that the name doesn’t even really make sense?

Judging by the response to the woman’s post, it seems there’s a lot of people out there who think the choice is simple.

One person commented: “My husband is really fussy he will only wear the real stuff but this one he was impressed with.”

Another said: “I bought it as a joke for my partner for Vday, saying ‘here’s a million I can afford’ and after we smelt it (we) couldn’t believe it so I went back (and) bought four more.”

A third added: “My boys have this and it really does smell like the million.”

So that’s Father’s Day sorted then… if you’re a tight bastard with no sense of shame.
